Pure brown sugar from Iriomote Island tamakuro


It’s a rare pure brown sugar handmade by sugarcane farmer in Iriomote Island and rarely sold outside of the island. There are various varieties of sugarcane, and usually, those sugarcane produced by various farmers are mixed together. At Green Farm in Iriomote Island, each variety is cultivated separately, and each cane is cut by hand after it’s fully ripe. A firm sweetness and good melting in the mouth varieties are blended and slowly cooked over an open fire in the traditional way. That's why it tastes so good. The balance of the blend and the sense of concentrates are all based on experience. It has a full-bodied sweetness, yet is not sickly sweet and it’s refreshing, it gives you as satisfying as the finest sweets. Please have it as it is.

It’s a handmade pure brown sugar with only sugarcane they grown by themselves at Green Farm in Iriomote Island. Slightly adjusting and cooked over an open fire in a large pot and slowly simmered down to give it an superb taste. It’s flaky light and melts in your mouth, and filled with a deep sweetness and aroma. Rich in minerals and good for the health, please have as a snack or enjoy with your tea, and also as an energy charge when you are worn out.
