#27 Postmenopausal Goddesses

2023 . 03 . 15

What do you think of when you hear the word “menopause”?
Relatively often we hear

Physical pain, depression, hot flashes, headaches, dizziness, palpitations, insomnia and decrease in female hormones
go through menopause
be unable body to conceive and give birth attractiveness as a woman ends
moustache thickens
osteoporosis etc.
I often don’t have a very good impression of them.

Menopause is a term used to describe the menopausal period in women, although men also go through menopause.
In nature, many species die once menopause occurs.

In the natural order, death is when they no longer contribute to reproduction.
Only people, orcas and giant whales continue to live after menopause.
I’m a little surprised.

By the way orcas are said to live to be 90 years old.
Orcas menopause is at age 30, so they live 5~60 years after menopause.
It’s because they have a purpose.

It is said to be taking care of grandchildren.

The post-menopausal orcas have a leadership role in passing on knowledge and skills to the younger generation.
Mother orcas live with their children and grandchildren for the rest of their lives, and in the end, they die with their children looking after them.

I would like to learn from orcas to live after menopause as a time to shift to a way of life that accepts and “passes on” some physical and mental changes called menopause.

Menopause is a stage in life when we are freed from the role of reproductive activity and child rearing, and can contribute to the evolution of an entire species.

That’s not just aging or
loss of femininity, but
I should say “the time has finally come to live as a goddess!”

Reproductive capacity and sexual capacity are two different things, so menopause does not mean that a woman is no longer a woman or that she is no longer attractive.

We have been entrusted to live after menopause in this natural order because we have the ability to contribute to the evolution of an entire species. It’s the only reason to continue to live.

Menopause
Let’s stop sighing with only negative impressions now.

Menopause is a bridge across which to become a goddess.
Let’s cross as lightly and flexibly as possible.
As we age, women become more beautiful.
Let’s live such a life.
